In this video you will learn how to position the patient for a bilateral hip and pelvis examination before performing the examination register the patient fill in the required data and select the program. Different positioning workflows apply for unilateral, bilateral or hybrid hip examinations. For a bilateral hips, can position the patient head first with a spine centered on the table, with a head placed in the head cushion at the end of the table. Placed the coil horizontally at hip level to cover both hips. Ensure that the region of interest is covered within the side flaps of the coil and fixed the coil with the loop strap. It is recommended to use the biomatrix contour L coil. Please note when performing bilateral hip examination the coil must be used in combination with the spine coil that is already integrated in the patient table. For pelvis examinations, position the biomatrix contour L coil in the same way As for bilateral hip examination. For hybrid examinations positioned both the coils for unilateral and bilateral hip examinations first position the coil. Ask for unilateral hip and then position the contour L coil. As for bilateral hip. Secure the coils with the loop strap. Both coils need to be plugged in on the table, in this case 2 coil links might be needed to connect both coils simultaneously to the coil sockets one and two. For all examinations, you can use additional sandbags to help securing and keeping the coil and coil links in position during the exam. It is important to prevent the coil links from protruding from or falling off the table. The coil links should never touch the patient's body. Use additional pads to help positioning the patient in a comfortable manner. Check again that you position the patient safely, provide headset and alarm ball for communication when you want to further optimize the position of the joint, you can put a triangular aid between the patients feet, ensuring that the toes don't touch. Then use the select and go panel for automatic isocenter positioning. Alternatively, check the position on the ruler to provide manual ISO input at the panel for a correct isocenter positioning. Finally, position the table into the bore at isocenter using the isocenter button and jog wheel.
