FlexLab TM X Total Lab Automation SIEMENS Healthineers Monthly Maintenance on the Decapper Module Job Aid Clean the Gripper Pads, Drip Tray, and Cap Grip on the Decapper Module Refer to the FlexLab X Total Lab Automation Operators Manual when performing maintenance procedures. 1. Set the Decapper Module Off-line and Flush Carriers 2. Remove the Decapper Module cover 3. Manually move the Decapper head in decap position 4. Using a lint-free cloth moistened with 0.1% sodium hypochlorite solution: A A. Clean the Drip Tray B. The Gripper Pads C C. The Cap Grip B 5. Inspect the gripper pads to ensure they are not excessively worn 6. Move the Decapper head away from the drip tray in order to avoid any impact during initialization 7. Install the Decapper Module cover 8. Set the Decapper Module Off-line and Flush Carriers 2. Remove the Decapper Module cover 3. Manually pull up the Decapper head and rotate it to the decap position 4. Extrude the interchangeable pipe from the internal chute 5. Clean the interchangeable pipe with a lint-free cloth moistened with 0.1% sodium hypochlorite solution, paying attention not to scratch it 6. Using a lint-free cloth, wipe the interchangeable pipe 5 7. Roll the interchangeable pipe again and insert into the chute. Slide it all along the chute length 8. Manually put the head of the Decapper back in place 9. Move the Decapper head away from the drip tray in order to avoid impact during initialization 10. Install the Decapper Module cover 2 11.
