FAST Planning | Somaris 10 Scan- & Recon range detection based on the topogram. Select the Recon Box parameter category. From the FAST Planning list, select a body region to be detected. FAST Planning ? FAST Planning audf_fast_tech_fast_plan_10_topog_12.mp3 FAST Planning with Somaris 10 offers the possibility of scan and recon range detection on the basis of the topogram. In the scan protocol, you can enable FAST Planning and specify a body region for each recon range. Depending on the specified body region, FAST Planning automatically positions the recon ranges on the specified body regions after a topogram has been acquired. The recon ranges are displayed on the topogram image in the topogram segment. From the FAST Planning Width list, select: FAST Planning | Optional ? Wide to include soft tissue. Narrow to exclude soft tissue. Full to use the maximum FoV for the resulting recon range. FAST Planning defines the recon length depending on the detected body region. For some recon ranges, the FAST Planning Width parameter is not available. FAST Adjust | Somaris 10 A tube load conflict occurs if the X-ray tube temperature is expected to exceed the system limits during the subsequent scan range. If the conflict can be resolved by a maximum waiting time of 10 minutes, countdown is automatically started to cool down the system. The countdown is displayed in the execution control. If the cooling time exceeds 10 minutes, the scan range cannot be performed. In this case, no countdown is displayed and the GO button is disabled. Nevertheless, the Adjust button is displayed to reduce the cooling time. FAST Adjust | Solving X-ray Tube Conflicts ? Solving X-ray Tube Conflicts audf_fast_tech_fast_adj_10_t_l_conflict_24.mp3 A tube load conflict occurs if the X-ray tube temperature is expected to exceed the system limits during the subsequent scan range. If the conflict can be resolved by a maximum waiting time of 10 minutes, countdown is automatically started to cool down the system. The countdown is displayed in the execution control. Scan Time and mAs audf_fast_tech_fast_adj_10_limit_25.mp3 For Somaris 10 scanners, you can still adjust the “FAST Adjust Upper Limit Scan Time“ in seconds. The “FAST Adjust Lower Limit max. mAs“ value can be freely selected, but within a range from 0% to 50%. On Somaris 10 platform scanners, the parameter “FAST Adjust Lower Limit Pitch Factor“ can be additionally defined here. FAST 3D Align | Somaris 10 The patient can sometimes lie in a not perfectly aligned position on the table. This may have anatomical or medical reasons (like drainages…) FAST Planning will recognize the organ. FAST 3D will align the patient images. F:\3D006.JPG FAST 3D Align | Patient Position ? This may have anatomical or medical reasons (such as drainages). FAST Planning will recognize the organ. FAST 3D will then align the patient images. If patient is not perfectly aligned on table, system will automatically correct image orientation to match measure planes (sagittal, coronal and axial). In this case, the phantom is lying on the table slightly skewed. The system will rotate the image stack to fit the true planes. The system will indicate that FAST 3D has been accomplished.
