
epoc® Blood Analysis System with NXS Host Performing a Blood Test Using A Capillary Tube Job Aid
This job aid will demonstrate how to retrieve and process a blood sample using a Care-Fill capillary tube on the epoc® Blood Analysis System with NXS Host.

Hold the tube by the blue band, pointing the tip of the capillary tube upwards so that it is vertical 2. Slide the adapter towards the tip of the capillary tube and insert the capillary tube into the adapter 3. Affix the adapter to the capillary tube by gently pushing the 5 capillary tube into the adapter until it is secured in the 4 adapter 4. Hold the capillary tube vertically by the large end of the adapter and insert it into the test card sample port. Rotate the adapter ¼ turn to ensure a good seal 3 5. Maintain hold of the adapter and use the fingers of your other hand to push the plunger down in a single motion 6.
