Dual energy reconstructions using the slider bar to select desired energy SOMATOM go. Sim, go. Open Pro, VA 40 SOMATOM go. systems allow you to perform tasks in multiple ways and this is just one way to perform dual energy reconstructions using the slider bar to select the desired energy. 1. Log in to the system as a SuperUser. 2. Select Exam Designer from the Cog Wheel menu. 3. Select the Factory Default protocols under the RTP folder for either the Abdomen or Head & Neck, as the process is the same. 4. Click the Modify Protocols button on the bottom right. 5. Make necessary adjustments to scan and reconstruction parameters as needed. Note: the Siemens Healthineers default Head & Neck protocol has 2 reconstructions already available, and the Siemens default Abdomen protocol does not. 6. If needed, right mouse click on the Abdomen reconstruction and select Repeat. 7. Rename the reconstructions for better clarity. 8. Adjust one of the reconstructions for 120 KV, if needed. 9. This can be the base Dual Energy section of the final protocol. Scan/Recon . The first is as follows: 1. Leave the slider bar at the desired energy level. Verify the energy level by checking the footer. Navigate to the upper left corner menu and select Save As Series. This will give you the chance to name the series as desired. Tip: include the selected KeV in the name so as not to confuse it with the 120kV series.
