Therapeutic drug monitoring of anti-TNF-α inhibitor in inflammatory diseases using the N Latex aTNFα assay

The lecture addresses the use of and importance of monitoring anti-TNF-α drugs in patients suffering from rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, and psoriasis. As those drugs frequently lose their potency, the ability to detect such loss using functional assays that quantify the concentrations of anti-TNF-α drugs in the patient sample can be very useful for clinicians and patients, who may be prevented from suffering unnecessary pain.
