Timeline Simulation Thorax CTA Examination Select Examination to perform a CT examination. Home Screen [Audio file ] After starting the CT Scan&GO examination workflow, you will see the start screen. Select the Examination icon to perform a CT examination. Please click Examination to continue. Register Jane Doe by selecting her name. Select a Scheduled Patient [Audio file 03_02_audf_ct_vb10_Scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_select_pat1_01.mp3] Your screen will list all scheduled patients if connected to a RIS. [Audio file 03_02_audf_ct_vb10_Scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_select_pat1_02.mp3] In the header, you will see the Home icon, the Scheduler button and the Live Indicator. To return to the Home screen, tap the Home icon from any screen during the examination. You can open the Patient Selection screen at any time using the Scheduler icon. The Live Indicator informs you about the connection status of your tablet with the portal. Use the Refresh button to ensure that the displayed patient list is always up to date. For this simulation, we will select Jane Doe. Please click the marked patient to continue. Select GO to load the selected patient. Select Thorax from the body region. Select Thorax Body Region [Audio file audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_select_thx2_01.mp3] Select the thorax as the desired body region on the schematic vascular body map. You will then see all the selectable scan protocols. Please click on the Thorax to continue. Thorax CTA protocol: - Topogram - Pre-monitoring scan - Monitoring scan - Thorax CTA scan Select GO to continue with the examination. This allows you to monitor the flow of the injected contrast agent in the vessel and trigger the scan at the predefined HU value. Consequently, you customize the start of the scan for each patient. Select CARE Breathe for practicing the breathing instructions [Audio-File 03_07_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_myExam_dectree_01.mp3] If the Scan Protocol is linked to a decision tree, and the myExam Compass contains a warning, you will see the myExam Compass page. This page informs you about · Physiological Signal display · Practicing the breathing instructions with the patient · Patient Characteristics displays · Questions display · Information Display In this protocol, you see only Breathing instruction practice and questions. The CTA Thorax scan protocol is linked to a decision tree. To answer the question, you need to practice the breathing instruction with the patient first. The Play icon starts the practice of the breathing instructions. Let's listen to the instructions. These animated images help the patient better understand each breathing phase. Select the CARE Breathe icon. Please select the CARE Breathe icon to continue. Select Close. Select GO to continue with the examination. Select GO to Confirm settings in myExam Compass [Audiofile 03_09_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_myExam_dectree2_01.mp3] Based on these questions, you can assess the patient's ability to follow instructions. If you answer the question with 'no,' it will impact the table speed, leading to an increase. In such cases, we recommend a test run. In our case, we answer the question with yes. Select GO to continue with the examination. Please click GO to continue. Select GO to confirm the patient position. It displays the patient data Patient Orientation Table Movement Topogram Length Tools area and Execution control area. Please note: You can now consider different patient positions within one exam study via the tablet. Please click GO to continue. Please note: The Remote Scan Control (RSC) can be used as long as the operating range is guaranteed. Select the Start key on the Control Box to start the topogram scan. Please click the Start key on the Control Box to continue. Select GO to load the premonitoring scan. Adjust Scan Range of Premonitoring Scan [Audio file 03_13_ audf_ct_va40_scan_go_wf_sim_ thorax_adj_prem_scan_range_01.mp3] A countdown indicates that the remaining Delay Time until the scan is started. [Audio file 03_13_ audf_ct_va40_scan_go_wf_sim_ thorax_adj_prem_scan_range_02.mp3] With the start of the scan process, you will see the examination time in seconds. [Audio file 03_13_ audf_ct_va40_scan_go_wf_sim_ thorax_adj_prem_scan_range_03.mp3] The topogram scan is complete and you will see the topogram. To do so, tap the Topogram range in the Scan Browser and then tap the Repeat Topogram button that appears. By clicking this Window Presets icon, you can switch between the below 3 window presets: Soft Tissue, Bone, Lung. [Audio file 03_13_audf_ct_va40_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_adj_prem_scan_range_09.mp3] Would you like to adjust the pre-monitoring scan? Select the blue dot area and drag it to the correct position. Please click GO to continue. Press the Move key on the Control Box until the table reaches the start position of the premonitoring scan. Follow the instructions to press and hold the Move key on the control box or the Remote Scan Control, until the table reaches the start position of the Premonitoring scan. Please click the Move key on the Control Box to continue. Press the Move Key on the Control Box no Audio Please click the Move key on the Control Box to continue. Select the Start key on the Control Box to start the premonitoring scan. Start the Premonitoring Scan [Audio file audf_ct_va40_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_start_prem_scan.mp3] The table is now in the start position for the premonitoring scan. You can recognize this by the solid grey line. Press the Start key on the control box or the Remote Scan Control and the scan process starts. Please click the Start key on the Control Box to continue. Select the CTA scan range. Place the ROI on monitoring scan [Audio file 03_17_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_timeline_cta_scan_range_01.mp3] The pre-monitoring image is displayed. [Audio file 03_17_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_timeline_cta_scan_range_02.mp3] You are now in the Monitoring step. [Audio file 03_17_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_timeline_cta_scan_range_03.mp3] In this case, you have activated the option for automatic ROI recognition (FAST ROI) at the syngo Acquisition Workplace. It automatically places the ROI on the pre-Monitoring image. If the ROI does not appear automatically, you will have to place it manually on the tablet. To do this, tap the inside of a vessel on the preview image. This will place the ROI. The color of the ROI corresponds to the color of the diagnostic range. Optional: If you want to enlarge or reduce the ROI, tap and drag the edge of the ROI. Confirm the region of interest, for example, in the aorta for the monitoring scans. [Audio file 03_17_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_timeline_cta_scan_range_05.mp3] Confirm the thorax CTA scan range and the delay time before loading the monitoring scan. To do this, select the CTA scan range in the scan browser. Please click the CTA scan range to continue. Select the monitoring scan range to continue. Adjust CTA Scan Range and Return to Monitoring Scan [Audio file 03_17_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_adj_cta_scan_range_01.mp3] By using alpha technology, the scan range is placed automatically on the topogram according to the pre-configured organ range in FAST planning. [Audio file 03_18_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_adj_cta_scan_range_02.mp3] If you desire to make additional adjustments to the CTA scan range, feel free to grab any of the purple dots and modify the scan range accordingly. [Audio file 03_18_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_adj_cta_scan_range_03.mp3] Also, check the absolute delay times for both the monitoring scan and the CTA scan range. [Audio file 03_18_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_adj_cta_scan_range_04.mp3] To return to the Monitoring scan, select the Monitoring scan range in the Scan Browser. Please click the monitoring scan range to continue. Select GO to activate and load the scan. Activate Monitoring Scan [Audio file 03_19_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_activ_monit_scan_01.mp3] You will see the contrast protocol for the monitoring scan. The prerequisites for this are: CARE contrast license, Injector Coupling is turned on, and A contrast protocol has been added to the scan range. [Audio file 03_19_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_activ_monit_scan_02.mp3] The injection phases are color-coded. The first injection is Contrast medium, the second is Saline. The display informs you of the Volume, Flow and Duration for each injection phase. Select the Start key on the Control Box to administer the contrast and start the monitoring scan at the same time. Start Monitoring Scan [Audio file 03_20_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_adj_scan_range_01.mp3] If still necessary, connect the patient to the contrast injector and arm the injector. [Audio file 03_20_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_adj_scan_range_02.mp3] With the optional CARE Contrast license, you can start the intravenous contrast injection and the CT scan at the same time. To do this, simply press the Start key on the Control box or the Remote Scan Control. [Audio file 03_20_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_adj_scan_range_03.mp3] If CARE contrast is not available, manually press the start buttons on the injector and on the control box at the same time. Please click the Start key on the Control Box to continue. Select Recon to start all configured reconstruction jobs. Check Quality of CTA Images [Audio file 03_21_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_check_cta_images_01.mp3] The countdown begins and the monitoring scans will be repeatedly performed. [Audio file 03_21_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_check_cta_images_02.mp3] Once the CT value in the ROI reaches the pre-configured threshold, the thorax CTA scan starts automatically. Use the slider or right-hand side arrows to scroll through the acquired images. [Audio file 03_21_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_check_cta_images_05] By clicking this Window Presets icon, you can switch between the below 3 window presets: Soft Tissue, Bone, Lung and default value to review the real-time display images. [Audio file 03_21_audf_ct_vb10_scan_go_wf_sim_thorax_check_cta_images_06] To change the window width and center, tap the Windowing icon and swipe horizontally or vertically over the screen. Please click Recon to continue. Select Close to close the current patient. Please note: Before you close the patient, we recommend checking the reconstructed images on the main screen.
