
Configuration of Automatic Patient Instructions (API) Video
This video demonstrates how to configure the automatic patient instructions on your CT scanner.
Coming up in this video is how to configure the default settings of the automatic patient instructions. Further, it will show how to record additional automatic patient instructions as well as how to edit and delete existing automatic patient instructions. It can be accessed directly from your CBT workstation or remotely through Microsoft Internet Explorer. In the administration portal you can define default settings for the automatic patient instruction and add new instructions or languages. For configuring automatic patient instructions, a clinical admin user account is required. If your account does not own the clinical administrator role, you can view all automatic patient instructions, but you cannot change them. In the administration portal you can define automatic patient instructions. For this automatic patient instructions, log in with clinical admin. User account is required. On the access bar, click the configuration icon and choose clinical configuration. The clinical configuration workspace of the administration portal opens. Choose audio from the navigation tree in the examination configuration window. The audio configuration settings window opens. Click the settings tab. From the default instruction language list, select the requested language. If your requested language is not available by default, you can enter additional languages. These languages can also be selected as default. Move the volume for patient communication slider to the left or to the right to adjust the volume. Move the audio noise reduction to adjust the noise reduction. Deselect the activate audio lighting checkbox. If you do not want to support the audio patient instruction with a patient instruction light inside the gantry. Click save to save the configuration. In the administration portal, you can record additional automatic patient instructions. Open the audio configuration window. Click the recording tab. The audio configuration recording window is opened. In the audio configuration recording window, select the requested language. Click the new entry button to create a new instruction. Every instruction consists of two parts. One is played before and one after the scan. A new instruction is displayed. Name your instruction. Click the relevant record button. There is a separate record button for the before scan section and the after Scan section. A message window opens to guide you through the recording. Press and hold the call patient key on the control box to record your instruction. Speak slowly and clearly. You can record U to 10 instructions per language. The maximum length for each audio file is 15 seconds. Click save to save the recording. In the administration portal you can edit and rerecord existing patient instructions. Open the audio configuration recording window. In the audio configuration recording window. Select the requested language. In the requested instruction role, click the edit button to rerecord an instruction. You can rename the instruction if applicable. Click the relevant record button. Press and hold the call patient key on the control box to rerecord the requested instruction. Speak slowly and clearly. When recording patient instructions, make sure that the patient has enough time to react before the scan starts. Before you stop the recording, leave a few seconds at the end of an instruction so that the scan does not start before the patient has had time to follow the instruction. The length of your audio file is displayed. The maximum length for each audio file is 15 seconds. Click save to save the change. In the administration portal, you can delete existing patient instructions. In the audio configuration recording window, select the requested patient instructions. In the requested instruction role, click the delete button. Deleted languages and instructions are lost and cannot be restored. You cannot delete preinstalled instructions and languages. In case your account doesn't own the clinical administrator role, please log in with the clinical admin on the access bar. Click the configuration icon and choose administration portal. The clinical configuration workspace of the administration portal opens. Click login with username. Enter the user credentials of your Windows user account in the username and password field. Then click the login button.
