Cleaning or Replacing the Fan Filter on the Atellica® Sample Handler Connect Video

The Atellica sample Handler Connect fan filters must be cleaned monthly to ensure proper airflow through the sample handler. Connect and prevent overheating. The sample Handler Connect fan filter is located in the lower area of the back sample Handler Connect panel. To clean the fan filter, first grasp the top of the fan filter and pull it out of the slot. Inspect the filter. If the filter is damaged or unable to be cleaned, discard per laboratory protocol and replace with new filter that was provided in the customer parts kit. If the filter is able to be cleaned, rinse the filter with tap water until clean. Then tap the filter to remove excess water and let air dry. Complete the procedure by reinstalling the fan filter. The spare filter from the customer parts kits can be used while the cleaned filter dries. Slide the filter into the panel, making sure the plastic grid is facing away from the sample handler connect.
