In this video you will learn how to register a patient manually on your system to ensure that the images are assigned with the correct patient information, you must register the patient before starting the examination. Select the new patient button for less than two seconds to start the manual registration process. On the left, monitor the data entry dialog opens. As you can see, you can register a patient for the current examination pre register a patient for future examination or register an emergency patient for time critical cases. Let's register a patient for our current examination. Please note that all bold fields are mandatory. You will not be able to complete the registration and start the examination until all the mandatory fields are completed. When the registration is not complete, the examination button appears dull and cannot be selected. Always mandatory are the patients last name, the patient ID, the date of birth, and the sex of the patient. Other fields can be configured as mandatory as required in the user settings. If you do not have an assigned patient ID, the system can generate a number, select the button next to the patient ID field for a system generated ID. When you have entered all mandatory information, the examination and pre register buttons are active and can be selected. If the patient information entered is for the current examination, press examination to start the examination. If you are registering the patient information for use at a later time, press pre register to save the patient information to the work list. To cancel the patient registration, press on the cancel button.
