Beam Placement and Beam Template creation SOMATOM go.Sim, go.Open Pro (VA 40) MMRT Image Suite (RTiS) VB 60 Siemens Healthineers systems allow you to perform tasks in multiple ways and this is just one way to perform beam placement and beam template creation on the SOMATOM go. Sim and go.Open Pro. Beam Placement allows you to create geometric treatment plans and beams. You can define the geometric parameters of a treatment plan and the properties and shape of a beam. A geometric treatment plan does not include dose information. Dose calculation is not supported. Beam Placement provides one layout with three orthogonal MPR segments and one DRR segment. Only the MPR, MPR thick, and DRR display types are supported in the Beam Placement layout. Note: Please see the Instructions for Use to commission your Linear Accelerator. 1. The location of the configuration tools is under the configuration cog wheel. Select the cog wheel. 2. Select the Machine Configuration Tab.
