Autoslide Stain a Manually Smeared Slide Job Aid

This job aid explains how to stain a manually-smeared slide with the ADVIA® 2120i Autoslide.

Select Manual/Inlet Door. 5. Select Start. When the door opens, insert the slide into the holder door with blood smear on the right and the frosted end up. • Ensure the slide is fully seated in the holder. If the slide does not rest on the bottom peg, the slide can break. 7. Close the manual/STAT inlet door. 8. When the system is ready to process the slide, the manual cycle starts. This may take up to 30 seconds. The slide transfers to the introduction staining assembly and the staining operation begins. 9. At the end of the cycle, the slide is loaded into a rack and the manual inlet door opens.
