Autoslide Load Slides and Slide Racks Job Aid
This job aid explains how to load slides and slide racks into the ADVIA® 2120i Autoslide.
Autoslide SIEMENS Healthineers Load Slides When storing and handling microscope slides, follow these precautions: • Microscope slides should be rotated when stored. • To prevent moisture contamination, store the slides off the floor. • To minimize temperature and humidity changes, keep slides away from doors and heating or air conditioning ducts. • Remember, slides do not have to be old to be affected by moisture. • Before opening slides, allow them to come to room temperature in the lab. When loading slides: 1. Avoid touching slide surfaces with your fingers. 2. Make sure that frosted control-painted areas of the slides are all facing up. 3. Make sure that slides are not stuck together before loading. 4. Make sure to load the slides in the correct orientation. The frosted, painted area must be facing up and on the left-hand side of the stack. 5. Insert a stack of slides as shown in the image. The slide dispenser can hold up to 160 slides.
