Autoslide SIEMENS Healthineers Clean the Staining Wells and Stainer Plate – As Needed Clean the staining wells and stainer plate after processing 3000 slides. 1. Press the Standby button on the analyzer touchpad to place the analyzer into standby mode. 2. On the back of the Autoslide, move the power switch to the off position to turn the Autoslide off. Slide the stainer door to the left to open it. 4. Pull out all of the staining wells. Manually rotate the stainer plate to access each of the wells. 5. Place the wells in a container deep enough to cover all of the wells with methanol. 6. Add enough methanol to the container to cover all of the wells. 7. Gently agitate the container in order to release any trapped air bubbles from the wells. 8. Soak the wells for ten minutes. While the wells are soaking, wipe the stainer plate with a soft cloth or paper towel and methanol. 10. Remove the staining wells from the methanol. 11. Turn the wells upside down and tap them on a cloth or paper towel to ensure all methanol and glass particles are removed. 12. Reinstall the wells, making sure that they are fully inserted. • If the wells are not inserted correctly the door will not close or the well could be damaged when the plate moves. 13. Close the stainer door by sliding it to the right. 14. Press the Standby button on the analyzer to resume normal operation. 15. Move the power switch on the back of the Autoslide to the on position. 9 13 12 Notes: Methanol is highly flammable and dangerous.
