Auto Positioning Auto Positioning is a deep learning-based system used to automatically: Set the isocenter position Plan slice groups for localizer, thorax, and 3D whole-heart measurements Position GSP elements Select the tab arrows for more information. Measuring the localizer Measuring the localizer_heart Measuring steps with Auto Positioning Configuring steps with Auto Positioning Auto Positioning Audio file names: 06_AutoMate-Cardiac_WBT_autopositioning Auto Positioning assists you in the following way: The center of the heart is automatically positioned at the isocenter of the magnet. Planning slice groups for further measurement steps is automated, as well as the positioning of several GSP elements. Select the tab arrows for more information 06_a_AutoMate-Cardiac_WBT_localizer The localizer finds the center of the heart. Then the table is moved automatically to position the heart at the isocenter of the magnet. There is no need for an additional Table Positioning Strategy step anymore. 06_b_AutoMate-Cardiac_WBT_localizer_heart The localizer_heart starts without manual interaction and refines the results of the first localizer. The system passes on this refined anatomical information to subsequent steps for automatic positioning of slices or slab groups, and other elements. Please note that Auto Positioning can only be used in combination with True FISP localizers. This is because the deep-learning network was trained on True FISP images. 06_c_AutoMate-Cardiac_WBT_targetsteps Several standard protocols in the library use Auto Positioning, for example the Auto Align heart scout step. Slices or slab groups as well as saturation bands and navigators are automatically positioned. The measurement of these steps starts automatically. 06_d_AutoMate-Cardiac_WBT_configuration If required, you can change the configuration of steps that use Auto Positioning. You do this on the Auto Positioning card of the myExam Add-In Configurator. Here you can define how graphical objects will be positioned automatically. Some parameters are set for each slice group individually, such as the slice coverage. The specification of elements that are to be positioned automatically applies to all slice groups. Measuring the localizer During the measurement of the localizer, the center of the heart is found. After acquisition, the table is moved automatically to position the heart at the isocenter of the magnet. Please note: The first localizer is acquired in coronal and transverse orientation without triggering. Measuring the localizer_heart The localizer_heart starts without manual interaction. It refines the results of the first localizer. Subsequent steps will use this refined information for automatic positioning of elements. Please note: Automatic positioning can only be performed in combination with TrueFISP localizers. Measuring steps with Auto Positioning Several protocols use the information obtained by the localizers for automatic positioning of: Slices/slab groups Saturation bands Adjustment volume Diaphragm navigator Image navigator The measurement of these steps starts without manual interaction (no working man symbol). Configuring steps with Auto Positioning For advanced users: You can adjust the configuration of steps with automatic positioning and slice group planning. Open the Auto Positioning card of the myExam Add-In Configurator. Slice Group Adaptations: Set parameters for each slice group individually. Global Protocol Adaptations: Set parameters that apply to all slice groups. ? Auto TI Auto TI is a deep learning-based system used to automatically detect the optimum time of inversion (TI) for delayed-enhancement inversion recovery examinations. Select the tab arrows for more information. Measuring the TI scout Measuring steps with Auto TI Configuring steps with Auto TI Auto TI Audio file names: 07_AutoMate-Cardiac_WBT_auto-ti Auto TI assists you during delayed-enhancement inversion recovery examinations of the heart by automatically detecting the time of inversion. The optimum time for image acquisition is suggested for further measurements. Select the tab arrows for more information. 07_a_AutoMate-Cardiac_WBT_ti-scout The TI scout detects the time of inversion. From this point, it looks for the time when image acquisition will result in the highest contrast between myocardium and blood pool in the ventricles while still being close enough to the actual TI. This contrast-optimized TI is then suggested for subsequent measurements. Suitable TI scout steps can be found in the SIEMENS heart library. Please note that, in order to use the Auto TI functionality, short-axis orientation is mandatory for the scout step. 07_b_AutoMate-Cardiac_WBT_targetsteps The TI that was detected by the scout will be suggested for subsequent tissue characterization steps. You can apply the suggested TI or, if necessary, modify the suggestion on the Auto TI card. If you have acquired several TI scout steps, you can select the protocol that you want to use as a source. 07_c_AutoMate-Cardiac_WBT_configuration If required, you can change the configuration of steps that use Auto TI. You do this on the Auto TI card of the myExam add-in configurator. Here you can define whether a step is to use the automatically detected TI. Additionally, you can specify an offset for compensating the contrast agent wash-out between TI scout acquisition and acquisition of the following delayed-enhancement measurements. For advanced users: You can adjust the configuration of Auto TI for delayed-enhancement steps. Open the Auto TI card of the myExam Add-In Configurator. Enable Auto TI: The detected TI will be suggested for the current step. TI Offset: Define an offset for compensating the contrast agent wash-out.
