Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to identify the standard user interfaces, sign on and off the system and navigate and explain software screens. ? Standard User Interfaces There are four types of user interfaces that can be used to interact with the Atellica Solution software. This training module covers the user interface software specific to the system display. Standard User Interfaces There are four types of user interfaces that can be used to interact with the Atellica Solution software. They are the system display, shown here, which is attached directly to the Sample Handler Prime. Second, is the Atellica Asa tablet software. Third, the Module Display which is only found in the Sample Handler configuration. Finally, the fourth type of user interface is the Alternate System Display which has Microsoft windows remote desktop capability. This training module covers the user interface software specific to the system display. ? Navigate the Home Screen The tile-based home screen can be used to access system functions and information. Select the colored callouts on the left for a brief introduction. Note: The System Status Area and Dashboard are shared with the Asa tablet software. Be aware that if another operator is making changes using the Asa tablet software, the updated status will be reflected here on the system display. Tool Bar Displays at the bottom of every window. Quick access to system utility functions including navigation and online help. Dashboard Dynamic tiles that display sample, consumable and maintenance activity status. Static shortcut tiles that provide direct access to specific screens. System Status Area Includes the system status map as well as access to troubleshooting functions. Access Bar The access bar located at the top of every window includes system information, system status icons and operator controls. ? Access Bar and System Status Map Play The access bar on the screen provides quick access to some commonly used functions. Including the system status map as well as signing out of the software. It does not affect any current processing or system operation. Assessment Slide Access Bar and System Status Map Blank Let’s take a moment and learn more about two important functions of the new user interface. Those are the access bar and the system status map. On the home screen view you can see both the access bar shown here and located directly below that is the system status map. It is important to note that both of these areas appear differently when you navigate away from this home screen. We will discuss this more as we proceed. Indicates whether a system or module needs attention, including maintenance. Select the markers below for the meaning of the colors displayed. Module is able to process samples. Module is in diagnostics mode. Module is in maintenance. Module is paused stopped or off. Module is partially processing. Module has stopped because of failure and is unable to process samples. System Indicator Colors: Blue with Information Icon: Software Update Available Green: No Alerts Yellow: System level maintenance is happening Red: System Errors Select the module in red Blank The system status map, indicates whether a system or module needs your attention, including maintenance. Green, the module is able to process samples. Red with the diagnostics icon: the module is in diagnostics mode. Yellow, the module is in maintenance. Grey, the module is paused, stopped or off. The red corner indicates that there is partial processing. For example, on a CH analyzer, if the IMT is down but the photometric module is still able to process samples. Finally, the red module icon indicates that the module has stopped because of failure and is unable to process samples. Also, shown here is the system indicator which is currently blue with an information icon- which means a software update is available. If it is green, there are no alerts. Yellow would indicate that system level maintenance is happening such as a database backup. While, red would indicate a system error. If you select one of the modules, additional information and functions will display. Select the module in red. Select the module in red to continue. Blank Here you can view details for the alert by selecting the alert and selecting troubleshooting. Also in this view, you can change the status of a module, select the appropriate module and then select to shut down, stop processing, or resume the module. Blank Now let’s discuss the features of the access bar that are available from the home screen view. Select Notification Center icon Blank Let’s start with the notification center, which is helpful when you move away from the home screen and want to check your system status. The notification center icon will alert the operator to tile alerts as well as other errors or warnings. A green banner color indicates there are no issues. Red or yellow indicate errors or warnings exist. The color will match the highest severity alert. The number in the icon is the number of tiles with alerts plus the number of additional messages shown in the notification center. Let’s take a quick look at the content of the notification center. Select the notification center icon. Select the Notification Center icon to continue. Blank Inside the notification center icon, you are now able to view alerts and perform acknowledgements. You can also select the tile shortcuts to access the screen related to the alert. Select Cart List icon Blank Moving further to the right we see the cart list, which is a list of the reagents, supplies, calibrators and quality controls that need to be loaded on the system. Items in the cart list are added by the operator, using the Needs screens. Please select the cart list icon to find out more information. Select the Cart List icon to continue. Blank In the expanded view, you can see the list of the items in the cart list. By clicking on one of the areas with a number in the parenthesis you can expand that area. Blank Shown is the supply name, quantity, lot and module. You can remove items here and can also collapse the area as well. Select Account Information Area icon Blank On the far right, we have the account information area icon. This is the area where the operator has the ability to sign out of the system. Select the account information area icon. Select the Account Information Area icon to continue. Select Sign Out Blank Inside the account information area you see the name of the lab, you can link to online help, the about area contains both system and software information and you can sign out of the system. Select sign out. Select Sign Out to continue. Select Sign Out Blank You are now prompted to either lock or sign out. Select sign out. Select Sign Out to continue. Select Yes Blank The system will ask you if you would want to continue. By selecting yes, you are signed out of the system. Select yes. Select Yes to continue. Note, each Atellica Solution operator should sign into the workstation using a unique username and password. On the sign in screen, enter the operator ID and password. Then you will be prompted to login. Select login. Select Login to continue. Select Reagent Needs tile Blank It is important to note, that on screens other than the home screen the access bar will look different than the view that you see here on the home screen. It also provides you, the operator, with additional information. We will now take a look at that by using the reagent needs screen as our example. Select the Reagent Needs tile. Select Reagent Needs tile to continue. Blank On the far left, the access bar provides a previous screen button. The home icon brings you back to the home screen. Next to the home screen is the navigation path. It displays the name of the current screen in orange and can also be used to navigate to the previous screen or screens. Select System Status Map icon Blank Shown here, you will see the miniature version of the system status map that is resident on screens other than the home screen view. The status map indicates whether a module needs attention including maintenance thru the color coding. You can click on it to learn more about it. Select the system status map icon. Select System Status Map icon to continue. Blank Displayed here is the information pertaining to the red alerts on the system, as depicted by the system status map. You will note that this view of the system map is similar to the view on the home screen. The dashboard view shown here is the default and may look different depending on your lab’s configuration. While the day needs section consist of consumable status tiles. The tools area consists of static shortcut tiles. Blank The dashboard also includes tiles that update dynamically. One of these dynamic updates includes the banner color. Banner color is defined as the status compared to the operator defined thresholds. Red, a critical alert exists. Yellow, an automated maintenance activity is in process or is due to start, as well as a maintenance activity needs to be put into a stopped state. Green, there are no issues that need immediate attention, but issues that need to be resolved later in the day may exist. Another dynamic update is the count shown here. This is the number of issues that need to be addressed during your workday. Finally, additional information is displayed on these large tiles. This concludes this discussion of the dashboard. We will now move on and discuss the samples area. Select Sample Handler tab Blank The samples area provides the status of samples onboard the system. The display will represent the Sample Handler drawers, or the Direct Load racks, depending on the configuration. For configurations with multiple Sample Handlers, the samples for each Sample Handler drawer will appear on a separate tab. Use the tabs to navigate. For this example, select the first tab for the Sample Handler. Select the Sample Handler tab to continue. Note: The view shown here is for a sample handler configuration, the view will look different for a direct load configuration. Blank Shown here is the expanded samples area. The shape and color of the sample glyphs describes the status of the sample. You can refer to online help for a list of sample container position glyph colors and symbols. Select if you want to include Historical Results, and if you want to include errors or events. Then select the Search button.
