Sealer Configurations Job Aid Atellica® Sealer The Sealer is meant to complement the Archiving and Test Sort Group features. It is not intended to seal tubes that are not being Archived or are not part of sorting configurations. Note: For a general overview of using Test Sort Groups, refer to the Atellica Solution Sample Han- dler Sorting Online Training on PEPconnect (attached to this training is a Job Aid that includes in- formation on both Sorting and Archiving). For more information on the Archiving and Test Sort Group features, refer to Online Help. To set the seal strength: 1. Navigate to SH & Sorting Configurations > Sample Workflow 2. Select the Sealing Strength from the dropdown: • Low - not recommended for polypropylene or mixed material type tubes. Recom- mended for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) material type tubes to avoid tube de- formation • Medium - recommended for polypropylene or mixed material type tubes • High - recommended for polypropylene or mixed material type tubes for ground transport or freezer storage. PET material type tubes sealed using the High seal strength could experience tube deformation 3.
