Atellica® Process Manager Configurations Online Training Atellica Process Manager (Atellica PM) allows operators to customize and configure settings to their laboratories needs. Configure zones and 3D View 1 Create canned comments 4 Configure rule parameters 3 Configure alert rules 2 Welcome Welcome to the Atellica® Process Manager Configurations Online Training course. Atellica Process Manager (Atellica PM) allows operators to customize and configure settings to their laboratories needs. This course will cover the following four objectives. For navigation help, select the question mark icon located at the bottom right corner of the slide. ? Configuring Zones and 3D Views The Zone Designer allows the user to create a new zone, edit a zone, or delete a zone. Zone Designer creates a complete layout of the lab for the 3D View that includes the instruments, furniture, walls, and floors. You must have the appropriate level of security to use Zone Designer. Select the tab arrows to learn more about configuring zones. Add or Edit a Zone Delete a Zone Configuring Zones and 3D Views Baselayer The Zone Designer allows the user to create a new zone, edit a zone, or delete a zone. Zone Designer creates a complete layout of the lab for the 3D View that includes the instruments, furniture, walls, and floors. You must have the appropriate level of security to use Zone Designer. Select the tab arrows to learn more about configuring zones. Add 1 To add or edit a zone, select the Settings tab in the command bar. Add 2 Next, select Zone Designer. Select the zone from the pre-defined list on the left-hand side or select Add Zone to add a new zone. Add 3 Select Add Equipment and choose from a drop-down list of managed instruments or furniture, such as benches, doors, grids, and windows. Add 4 Use the Zoom Control icons, slide bar, or the mouse wheel to zoom in or out of the main display. Under Use this zone in, select 1 of the following options to include or exclude the zone from 3D View or KPI Dashboards: 3D View and KPI Dashboards, 3D View, or KPI Dashboards. If the 3D View option is selected, the zone's data is not included KPI Dashboards calculations and is not available for display using the KPI Dashboards. If the KPI Dashboards option is selected, the zone is only available within KPI Dashboards and is not a selectable zone for 3D View. Deleting a zone from this menu automatically deletes the zone from KPI Dashboards. Select Save to save all changes made to the zone. Select Cancel to cancel the most recent edits. After adding a new instrument, restart the client. Delete 1 To delete a zone, select Settings in the command bar. Delete 2 Select Zone Designer. Select a zone from the zone list. Select Delete to delete the zone. ? Creating Alert Rules Create alert rules to notify operators when certain system levels reach a critical point. For example, if a consumable or waste level reaches a certain threshold, create an alert for such an event. The operator can create and set up alerts and auto-filter rules by instrument. Select the Start button below to learn more about how to create Alert rules. Select Alerts on the left hand side of the screen. Alert 3 Select New Rule, then select a type from the drop-down menu. Alert 4 Edit the rule in the configuration box by selecting one of the red hyper links. Edit the rule making a selection from the text box that appears. Select ok. Alert 5 Finally, select Save Rule. ? Creating and Editing Sample Rules Sample Rules control which tests display and in which zones. If a sample has an automation error that prevents test data from being known, such as a bad barcode error, then the sample displays in Priority Samples for all zones. Select New Rule. Select either Turnaround Time Rule, On-Time STAT Display Rule, or Not Loaded Rule from the dropdown menu. Rule 3 Select a red hyperlink in the text box. Update the information in the text box that pops up and select OK. Rule 4 Select Save Rule when finished. ? Applying Alert Rule Parameters The Atellica Process Manager allows the operator to apply alert rule parameters after creating a new rule. Select the Start button below to learn more about how to apply alert rule parameters. Start Applying Alert Rule Parameters Baselayer The Atellica Process Manager allows the operator to apply alert rule parameters after creating a new rule. Select the Start button below to learn more about how to apply alert rule parameters. Parameter 1 To start, select the Settings button in the command bar. Select Rules. Select Alerts on the left hand side of the screen. Select an alert from the list. Select the first link in the communication box to set parameters for all current and future reagents. Parameter 2 Select specific reagents or check the Select All button to add current and future reagents to the new alert rule. If you wish to select all current and future items, check off the box. Select OK when finished. Parameter 3 Select the link next to the first to set parameters for all current and future instruments. Parameter 4 Select a specific instrument, instruments, or select all from the box. If you wish to select all current and future items, check off the box. When finished, select OK. Parameter 5 To show an alert warning when a calibration is about to expire, select the third link in the middle of the page. Parameter 6 Check the Generate a warning box and set the time parameter, then select OK. Parameter 7 To show a critical warning when a calibration has expired, select the fourth link in the middle of the page. Parameter 8 Check the Generate a critical alert box. Select OK when finished. Parameter 9 To send an email to the Lab Admin, Network Support, or both, select the fifth link in the white box in the middle of the screen. Parameter 10 Check the appropriate email addresses or Select All. If you wish to add a new email address, type the address into the white box then select Add email to list. When finished, select OK. Parameter 11 To enable escalating an alert if it is not acknowledged, click on the link in the white box in the middle of the screen. Parameter 12 Select the box that states to escalate the alert and set the time in the box. When finished, select OK. Parameter 13 To enable escalating an alert if it is not resolved, click on the link in the white box in the middle of the screen. Parameter 14 Check the box that states to escalate the alert and set the time in the box. Select Ok when complete. Parameter 15 To rename the alert rule, click on the link at the bottom of the white box in the center of the page. Parameter 16 Enter the name in the white bar then select OK. Parameter 17 To enable or disable the alert rule, click on the enabled link at the bottom of the white box. Parameter 18 Select the check box to enable the rule. Uncheck to disable. When finished, select OK. Parameter 19 When finished setting alert rule parameters, select Save Rule at the bottom of the screen. ? Applying Sample Rule Parameters The Atellica Process Manager allows the user to apply sample rule parameters after creating a new sample rule. Sample 3 Select the second link in the white box at the bottom of the page to set whether the rule is for STAT, routine, or both. Sample 4 Select a radio button in the popup box, then select OK. Sample 5 Select the third hyperlink in the white box at the bottom of the page to apply parameters to current and future patient locations. Sample 6 Select specific rules or check the Select All box to apply the new rule. Select the Select All Current and Future Items if this is so desired. Finally, select OK. Sample 7 Select the fourth link at the bottom of the page to start tracking tests at test order received or sample collected. Sample 8 Select a radio button in the popup box then select OK. Sample 9 Select the fifth hyperlink in the white box at the bottom of the page to apply current parameters to current and future zones. Sample 10 Select specific rules or check the Select All box to apply the new rule. Select the Select All Current and Future Items if this is so desired. Finally, select OK. Sample 11 Select the unspecified turnaround time link to set the overdue duration. Sample 12 Enter the time in the communication box. Select OK when finished. Sample 13 Select the unspecified period of time link to set the at risk duration rule. Sample 14 Enter the time in the communication box. Select OK when finished. Sample 15 Select the unspecified title link to name the new rule. Sample 16 Enter a name in the communication box. Select OK. Sample 17 To enable or disable the rule, select the enabled link in the white box. Sample 18 Select or de-select the checkmark in the box then select OK. Sample 19 When finished setting sample rule parameters, select Save Rule at the bottom of the screen. ? Creating Canned Comments Comments commonly used on the Atellica Process Manager can be created and saved. To create canned comments: Select Settings > Canned Comments Select Add New Enter the comment. This is a free-text field Enter a keyboard shortcut in the Shortcut Code field Select Save Comments when used will display in this window in grid form. 1 5 3 2 1 4 Creating Canned Comments Comments commonly used on the Atellica Process Manager can be created and saved. Select the specific rule that needs to be adjusted in the software. Select the specific hyperlink in the white box on the bottom of the screen to set parameters. Configure alert rules To create alert rules: Select Settings > Rules Select Alerts Select New Rule, and a type from the dropdown menu Edit the rule in the configuration text box by selecting hyperlinks and editing the rule Select Save Rule To create sample rules: Select Settings > Rules Select Samples Select New Rule Select either On-Time STAT Display Rule or Turnaround Time Rule Change the information for each rule by selecting the hyperlinks in the text and editing the information Select Save Rule Configure zones and 3D View Customizing Dashboard Items The Dashboard can be customized to provide relevant summary information. You can: Rearrange the tiles for preferred layout Add tiles Remove tiles Resize tiles Resize a Dashboard tile by right clicking a tile and selecting Small, Medium, Wide, or Large Configuring Zones and 3D Views Use the Zone Designer to create a new zone, edit, or delete a zone.
