This video will cover highlights, new features and other good to know material about this software. ? Highlights Audit Log Track user activities Documentation of Expiry Dates Enter expiry dates automatically or manually View the expiry dates throughout the software Highlights Some of the main highlights of the software version include the audit log and the documentation of expiry dates. The audit log tracks user activities and displays the date and time, display name, category, and event that took place. Expiration dates are now documented for reagents, standards, and controls, and can be viewed in the software. The next section will discuss these highlights in depth. ? New Features Two new features include: Audit log Documentation of expiry dates Select the tab arrows to learn more about these features. Audit Log Documentation of Expiry Dates New Features Base Layer: Two new features of the software upgrade version 1.3 include the Audit Log and documentation of expiry dates. The Audit Log logs information such as who worked on the system and when, who has logged into the system, when ranges were changed, and when any other changes were made that impact results. Only Security Administrators have access to the audit log. Another new feature is the documentation of expiry dates. This includes how to enter expiration dates and where you will be able to find the expiration dates throughout the software. Select the tab arrows to learn more about these features. Audit Log: To access the Audit Log, you must use the AdminTool. From the home screen of the AdminTool, select Audit log. Here, we see all entries from the last 24 hours. Displayed is the date and time of the occurrence, display name showing who triggered the entry, the category of the event, and the event. Select from the Category dropdown menu to filter your view of Security events, Change events, or All. Security events include changing passwords or password policies, and entering a comment in the AdminTool. Change events include loading LotData, changing reference ranges, and entering comments from the Viewer software. You have the option to Print or Export an event. Select Search to display more events. Select a time period you would like to display, and select Apply. To add a comment, select Comment. You can also add comments in the View software. From the Viewer software,select System. Here you can select Comment to enter a comment. Select the X at the top of the page to return back to the main slide. Expiry Dates: There are two ways to load expiry dates: automatically and manually. The expiry date is automatically loaded with the Lot data. To upload automatically, from the main screen of the Viewer software, select System, and then select Lot data file. Find the location where the lot data is stored, select the file and then select Save. You also have the option to enter expiry dates manually. Select Definitions and then select the Expiry date tab. Select the reagent, standard, or control you want. Select New, and create a new lot and expiration date. Select Save. To edit the expiry date, select Edit. The expiry date can only be edited for manually entered lots. You can also select Delete to delete the selected lot. Select Close to return back to your main screen. Now, we will discuss the ways to view the expiration dates. Navigate to the Result Archive and select a result. The expiration dates of reagents, standards, and controls are seen here. Select Close. Navigate to the Loading screen. The expiration date for controls and standards is displayed next to the material on the segment. Select Reagents. Here, you can see the expiration dates for the reagents, and you can even filter by expired material. You can also view the reagents in graphic display. There is a column that displays the expiration dates. Now let’s take a look at calibration data. Select Calibration. There is a column that displays the expiration date. Select Lab Journal. Finally, select Request control to view the expiration date of your controls. Select the X at the top of the page to return back to the main slide. Documentation of Expiry Dates Audit Log ? Good to Know Encryption and storage of PHI data Additional Cleaner SCS Good to Know Now we will go over good to know information regarding the software update. From software version 1.3 and above, all patient data is encrypted. The encryption is computer-dependent and the data cannot be decrypted on another computer. There will be an additional cleaner bottles stored in the reagent rotor for improved walk-away time while using the system.
