Atellica® DT 250 Order and Load a Sample Video

This video demonstrates how to order and load samples onto the Atellica DT 250 analyzer.

In this video we will demonstrate how to order samples and load non barcode samples onto the Atelica DT-250 Analyzer. Let's begin by learning how to order a patient sample. Start by selecting the Samples icon in the menu bar. Select New. A sample ID is automatically generated by the software. Edit the sample ID if necessary, and define any additional sample information. To designate the sample as a stat sample, select the Stat Sample checkbox. To enter corresponding patient information. Select the New patient icon next to the Patient ID field. A screen with the available ID, last names, and first names opens and the selection can be made or you can enter the patient information. Then select the grey + icon to the right of the last name field to confirm your input. Finally, double click on a displayed method or profile to add tests to the sample. Now let's navigate to the sample tray screen To load our sample. Select the sample tray icon in the menu bar. Select an available sector from the sector list. In this example, we will select Sector One and then select Place Sample from the Place Sample window. Verify the Samples tab is selected, then select the sample we ordered. Manually assign the sample to a sector position by selecting a position from the Positions field, and then select Place or select Place All to automatically assign the sample to the next available sector position. Then select Exit to return to the sample tray screen. Our place sample is indicated by the green position one in the displayed sector. To view more information, hover over the sector position. The complete list of samples appears on the right panel. The current state is primary and the sample will run in a standard sample tube. To run the sample in a sample cup, right click on the sample position and select Secondary. A Gray ring around the sector position indicates secondary mode. To return to the original setting, right click on the sector position and select Primary. Aliquot the sample into a sample tube or sample cup and place it in position 1 of sector one. Then select Place Sector. The sample tray drives the first available sector position to the sample tray loading area. Slide open the sample tray loading area, remove the old sector, if any, and place the new one. Once the sector is properly secured and the sliding cover is closed, select OK Note do not press OK before you have physically placed the sector in the sample tray and have closed the sliding cover, since the sample tray will start moving immediately upon pressing the OK button. Finally, navigate to the main screen by selecting the main screen icon in the menu bar. From here, select the Start button to begin analysis.
