Remove Direct Connect obstructions on the CI Analyzer Clean sample spills 1 1 2 2 2 Course Review Retrieve a Tube or Tube Holder from the Grippers Enter the diagnostic state and perform the Retrieve Object diagnostic Follow the software prompts to perform the actions: Open the front cover Remove the tube or tube holder from the grippers using the manual release wheel If the object is a tube holder, replace it in its original position in either the transfer tube holders area or inprocess tube holder area If the object is a tube, reload it onto the automation system Close the front cover Exit diagnostics Remove DC Obstructions on the CI Analyzer Stop the Direct Connect To access the obstruction, unlock and open the appropriate cover To inspect the entry or exit queues and Direct Connect processing lanes, remove the drip tray Remove any obstructions blocking the Direct Connect processing lanes If a tube holder is jammed in either the transfer tube holders area or inprocess tube holder area, lift it up to remove it Replace the tube holder in its original position in either the transfer tube holders area or inprocess tube holder area Replace the drip tray over the entry and exit queues and turn the thumbscrew clockwise to secure it in place Close and lock any open covers Resume the Direct Connect Clean Sample Spills Stop the Direct Connect To access the spill area, unlock and open the appropriate cover Lift, remove, and clean the tube holders, as appropriate. Clean with lint-free tissues or gauze saturated with an alcohol solution (up to 70% isopropyl alcohol) and then dry thoroughly Clean the spill with lint-free tissues or gauze saturated with an alcohol solution and then dry thoroughly Remove the drip tray, as appropriate. Clean the drip tray lint-free tissues or gauze saturated with an alcohol solution and then dry thoroughly Clean the entry and exit queues as needed with lint-free tissues or gauze saturated with 10% bleach solution and then dry thoroughly Replace the drip tray and turn the thumbscrew clockwise to secure it in place Reload the 3 tube holders as appropriate: 2 in the transfer transfer tube holders area and 1 in the inprocess tube holder area Close and lock any open covers Resume the Direct Connect Disclaimer Please note that the learning material is for training purposes only. Select to unlock the front cover to continue. Spills Place one hand in the bottom of the front cover and pull it up to open. Spills If there is a spill in one of the tube holders, lift the tube holder to remove it. Use an alcohol solution of up to 70% isopropyl alcohol. Spills Clean the tube holder with lint-free tissues or gauze saturated with an alcohol solution as needed. Then dry the cleaned tube holder thoroughly with clean lint-free tissues or gauze. Repeat as appropriate for the other tube holders on the system. Spills If there are spills in the transfer tube holders area or inprocess tube holder area, clean the spill with lint-free tissues or gauze saturated with an alcohol solution. Then dry the cleaned area thoroughly with clean lint-free tissues or gauze. Spills To check and clean up any spillage in the entry or exit queues, remove the Direct Connect drip tray by turning the thumbscrew counterclockwise and then lifting up the drip tray to remove it. Clean the drip tray with lint-free tissues or gauze saturated with an alcohol solution. Dry the drip tray thoroughly with clean lint-free tissues or gauze and then set it aside. Spills If needed, clean the entry and exit queues as needed with lint-free tissues or gauze saturated with 10% bleach solution. Dry the entry and exit queues thoroughly with clean lint-free tissues or gauze. Spills Replace the drip tray over the entry and exit queues and turn the thumbscrew clockwise to secure it in place. Spills If any of the tube holders had been removed for cleaning, place them back into position on the system. Spills Verify that three tube holders are loaded on the Direct Connect: two in the transfer tube holders area and one in the inprocess tube holder area. Spills Close the cover. Select to resume the Direct Connect Spills To complete the procedure, select to resume the Direct Connect. Select to resume the Direct Connect to continue. Obstructions Replace the tube holder in its original position in either the transfer tube holders area or inprocess tube holder area. Obstructions Close the cover. The cover will automatically lock. Select to resume the Direct Connect Obstructions To complete the procedure, select to resume the Direct Connect. Select to resume the Direct Connect to continue. Tubes Select Troubleshooting Tubes Start the task of retrieving a tube or tube holder from the robot grippers by entering Diagnostic State. To begin, select Troubleshooting. Select Troubleshooting to continue. Select Operator Diagnostics Tubes Then select Operator Diagnostics. Select Operator Diagnostics to continue. Select the Direct Connect module Tubes In Select a Module, select the appropriate Direct Connect module. Select the Direct Connect module to continue. Select Enter Diagnostics Tubes Select Enter Diagnostics and then Yes. Wait for the Direct Connect to enter the diagnostic state. Select Enter Diagnostics to continue. Select Retrieve Object Tubes Select Retrieve Object. Select Retrieve Object to continue. Select Perform Tubes Select Perform and then Yes. The system starts the activity and moves Direct Connect components to accessible locations. Select Perform to continue. Tubes Place one hand in the bottom of the front cover and pull it up to open. Select OK Tubes Select OK to confirm the front cover is open. Select OK to continue. Tubes Locate the tube or tube holder that is stuck in the robot grippers. While supporting the tube or tube holder with one hand, use the other hand to turn the manual release wheel on the top of the robot to open the grippers. Remove the tube or tube holder from the grippers. Leave the grippers in the open position. If a tube holder was removed from the robot grippers, replace it in its original position in either the transfer tube holders area or the inprocess tube holder area. If a tube was removed from the robot grippers, reload it onto the automation system. Select OK Tubes Select OK to verify the object was successfully removed. Select OK to continue. Tubes Close the cover. Select OK Tubes Select OK to confirm the cover is closed. Select OK to continue. Select OK Tubes Wait for the activity to complete and then select OK. Select OK to continue.
