Atellica® Data Manager Review Sample Orders Video

This video provides an overview of reviewing sample orders in Atellica® Data Manager.

To review sample orders in Intellicate Data Manager, we will begin by focusing on the Home tab. Here there are a few items that display sample information. The All Samples Donut chart displays the total number of samples and groups them by status, while the Stat Samples donut chart displays only the stat samples and their status types. Within these two charts, you can select a portion of the chart, a label, or a chart legend to open the sample query browser filtered for that particular group of samples. Next, my counters consists of icons that display operator defined sample counts. Counters are operator specific and vary between operator accounts. If a counter is configured to open the sample query browser, once selected, the sample query browser will open filtered for the counter sample type. For example, here the operator has a counter configured to display a threshold alert if one or more Troponin I samples are in a pending status for 15 minutes or more, and when selected, the Sample Query Browser will open displaying these samples. Now let's select the Sample Query Browser tab to manually search for samples and view additional sample information. When you select the Sample Query browser tab for the first time, the Sample Query window opens. By default, the Sample Query window allows you to filter samples based on a desired search criteria. To view all samples, select OK without entering any sample query information. Now let's see an example of searching for samples by a specified criteria. We can utilize the Instrument Search Criteria filter to select A specific instrument. Select the icon in the Instrument field, then select an instrument from the Instrument Selection window. Note, only one instrument can be selected at a time. If you would like to view samples from multiple instruments, you would need to filter by an established instrument group. Select Select to confirm. Finally, select OK to apply the filter. The Sample Query Browser screen opens with our filtered samples list and the search criteria filter is displayed at the top of the list. Now let's explore more areas of the Sample Query Browser screen. The Filter icon opens the sample query window with the currently applied search criteria. This allows you to update or modify the existing filter criteria. The Plus icon allows you to open another sample query in an adjacent tab so you can review multiple queries at once. And the Table column icon allows you to display or hide columns in the samples list. Within the samples list, the status of a sample is displayed in the Status column. Here, the lowest or earliest status of a test request within a sample is displayed. Sample start at a pending status where the sample has been created and downloaded from the laboratory information system. LIS Rerun where the sample is tagged to rerun either automatically or manually scheduled where the sample has test requests downloaded to the instrument. Review where the samples test results need to be manually reviewed, Validated where the samples test requests have been validated by the operator or automatic validation, Uploaded where sample results have been uploaded to the LIS, and finally the highest status of omitted where the sample contains omitted test results and will not be uploaded to the LIS. Additionally, within the Samples list, you have the ability to double click on a sample to open the order entry window and view additional order details. Or you can right click on a sample and select Review and Edit to review and manage test results associated with the sample. Finally, the Sample Query browser screen has additional function buttons that can be used to take action on samples. New opens the order entry window and allows you to create a new work order. Edit opens the order entry window for the selected or highlighted sample. Here you can add additional tests to a sample order or add a sample comment. View simply opens the order entry window, allowing you to view the selected or highlighted sample. Delete deletes the highlighted or selected sample record from the Attalika Datamanager database and allows reuse of the sample ID. Delete also allows you to delete incorrect order entries and delete orders for samples in any status. Select First to Current selects all records from the current selection to the first record in the samples list, while Select Current to Last selects all records from the current selection to the last record in the samples list. Duplicate is inactive for the sample query browser screen. Advanced contains Set filter, clear filter, miss pull, audit, export report, and log entries. Functionalities and Custom Actions provides access to operator defined functions and the menu for editing those functions.
