Atellica® Data Manager Review QC Graphs Video

This video provides an overview of the QC Graph tab and demonstrates how to add QC populations to the QC Graph tab.

The Italica Data Manager QC Graph functionality allows you to plot and compare individual or multiple QC populations on the same graph for troubleshooting purposes. This allows you to easily compare QC populations with multiple QC lots, levels, instruments, and assays on the same chart. This may be helpful to quickly understand if the QC issue is specific to an individual QC material reagent lot, or even specific to an individual instrument. In this video, we will demonstrate how to add a single QC population, multiple QC populations, and QC populations for instrument groups to the QC Graph tab. Let's begin by learning how to add QC populations to the QC Graph tab. Start by selecting QC from the Command bar, then select the Graph tab. By default, the global time range is set to the last seven days. To adjust the global date range for each QC population, utilize the From and To fields to make your selections and then select Apply to filter your QC data to the new date ranges. Now select Add from the QC Population selection window. Select one or more QC populations by utilizing the check boxes next to the desired method names. Then select Select to confirm your input and select Draw Graph. Now let's review the different areas of the QC graph screen. First, let's look at the QC Populations panel. The color to the right of the QC population matches the color of the line within the Levy Jennings graph. The check mark icon allows you to hide or show the QC population on the graph. Note the QC population will still display in the timeline slider below the graph with this option. The next icon enables or disables the display of trend lines on the graph. The pencil icon opens the QC population selection window so you can select a different population, while the X icon removes the QC population group from the graph and timeline slider. Note, if you edit or add another population, remember to select Draw Graph again to populate the data in the Levy Jennings graph. Now let's review the different areas of the Levy Jennings graph. The colored bands represent the QC standard deviations SDS. The green band lies between ±2 SD of the reference value, the yellow band lies between 2:00 to 3:00 SD and -2 to -3 SD of the reference value, and the red band lies above 3 SD or below -3 SD of the reference value, and the plotting characters are color coordinated to reflect severity. Green represents a severity of 0, red represents A severity not equal to 0 white Cross marks represent omitted values, and white circles with a dot represent results with associated comments. Hover over a plotting dot to view additional result information. To hide or show the dots, select the right icon below the chart, and to display horizontal and vertical lines indicating the exact coordinates of the mouse, select the middle icon below the chart. The timeline slider allows you to narrow the date range. Select a data point in the QC graph to populate the legend indicating which population you are viewing and statistics that reflect the selected data currently displayed in the graph. So in this example, statistics are being shown for the selected Amylase QC population within the narrowed time range. To restore the graph to its original date range, select the Magnification icon. Finally, select Clear All to remove all the QC populations from the QC Graph tab. Now let's discuss how to add a QC population group to the QC Graph tab. Start by selecting Add Group within the test field. Enter a test name or double click within the field to select a test from the test selection window. To enter a value within the Lot and or Species fields, repeat the process of manually entering the value or double clicking within the field to select a value from a selection window. If you want to filter the instrument list, you can either manually enter the instrument group, double click within the Instrument Group field to select from the Instrument group selection window, or type within the search field to find an instrument name. From the displayed list of instruments, select one or more instruments. To only display the selected instruments, select the Show Selected Only check box, then select Select to confirm. Finally, select Draw Graph to plot your QC population group to the Levy Jennings graph.
