Atellica® Data Manager Reset QC Severity Video
This video demonstrates how to reset QC severity when a QC result exceeds the assay's QC severity limit.
When a QC result exceeds the Assays QC severity limit in Italica Data Manager, the Test Instrument and String value columns of the QC Results browser remain red until the QC problem is addressed. The operator must then reset the Assays QC severity field to 0 to trigger a new QC result action record. Failure to reset a QC severity to 0 results in the continued reporting of a QC severity error on all subsequent instances of that test on the affected analyzer. To reset a QC severity in Intellicate Data Manager, begin by navigating to the QC Alerts tab. This can be accomplished by either selecting a portion of the QC Alerts donut chart or by selecting QC from the Command bar. In this exercise, let's start by selecting QC from the Command bar, then select the Alerts tab. Select the QC result associated with the assay that needs resetting by selecting the checkbox next to the test name. Note, you can also reset the severity of multiple assays by selecting multiple QC results. In this example, we will select the first AFP result, then select Reset Severity from the Reset QC Severity window. Select the Enable Test after Reset checkbox if appropriate, then enter a comment in the comment field. Select OK. Finally, select F5 on your keyboard to refresh the window to display the reset severity change. If necessary. Repeat this process until all QC severities have been addressed.
