Select a patient from the Scheduler In this task, you will do the following: Select a pre-registered patient for an examination. Start the examination. Duration: 2 minutes Practice ? Retry Continue Completion Task 2: Manual Registration Select the Scheduler. Select the Scheduler [artis_ve3_sim_pat-reg_en_3-1.wav] To register a patient manually on the ARTIS system, select the Scheduler from the Info Area. Please select the Scheduler to continue. Click on the Register Patient icon. Select the Register Patient icon [artis_ve3_sim_pat-reg_en_3-2.wav] On the toolbar in the upper-right corner, select the Patient Registration icon. Please click on the Register Patient icon to continue. Select Register Patient. Not in Menu [artis_ve3_sim_pat-reg_en_3-3.wav] Select Register Patient. Please click on Register Patient to continue. Enter the required data [artis_ve3_sim_pat-reg_en_3-4.wav] A new item in the Patients list is created, and an empty Patient Registration tab opens. All fields with an asterisk are mandatory in the Patient Registration tab. Enter the required data: Last Name: Doe First Name: John Patient ID: 1234 Date of Birth: 12/28/1984 Sex: Male Select the Submit button to continue with the simulation. Patient ID If you leave this field empty, a patient ID is created by the system when you save the data. Date of Birth Outside of this simulation, you can also put in the date of birth with blank spaces in between instead of a slash. For example: 12 28 1984 Male Submit John Doe 1234 12/28/1984 Not in menu [artis_ve3_sim_pat-reg_en_3-5.wav] Now, let’s enter the required data. When you’re done, select the Submit button to continue with the simulation. One or more entries are incorrect or incomplete. Please try again and click on Submit. Female Male Other Please select the correct sex as stated below. Female Male Other Select Head First - Supine. Select the Patient Position [artis_ve3_sim_pat-reg_en_3-6.wav] A default body region and procedure type are already selected. We’ll leave them as they are. Since the patient position is still missing, our Exam button is still grayed out. Please change the patient position to Head First - Supine. Please click on the drop-down list (Patient Position) to continue. Select Head First - Supine. Not in Menu Please select the first position in the list to continue. Select Exam to start the examination. Start the examination [artis_ve3_sim_pat-reg_en_3-8.wav] All required information has been entered. Now you can select the Exam button. Select the Scheduler [artis_ve3_sim_pat-reg_en_4-1.wav] For time-critical cases, you can register an emergency patient in the Scheduler. To do that, select the Scheduler icon in the Info Area. Please select the Scheduler icon to continue. Select the Emergency Patient icon. Select the Emergency Patient icon [artis_ve3_sim_pat-reg_en_4-2.wav] On the toolbar, select the Emergency Patient icon. Please click the Emergency Patient icon to continue. No action required [artis_ve3_sim_pat-reg_en_4-3.wav] A new item in the Patients list is created, and a Patient Registration tab opens. The mandatory fields are filled in with default values. You can change any of these values depending on your knowledge of the patient. Please wait until the end of the explanation for the next task. Select the patient position Head First - Supine. Select the Patient Position [artis_ve3_sim_pat-reg_en_4-4.wav] Before starting the examination, check the body region and procedure type. For our simulation, we will leave the settings as they are Next, let’s define the patient position. Select the patient position Head First - Supine from the drop-down menu. Please select the drop-down menu Patient Position to continue. Select the patient position Head First - Supine. No action required Please select Head First - Supine to continue. Select Exam to start the examination. Start the examination [artis_ve3_sim_pat-reg_en_4-6.wav] To save the data and start the examination, click on the Exam button in the bottom-right corner. Please select the Exam button to proceed with the simulation. Congratulations! You have successfully registered an emergency patient.
