Aptio® Automation Replace Aliquoter Module Label Roll

Once the Alac water module is offline, you can replace the label stock role. Open the Alek Water label or door under the labeling area. Lift the hinged secondary tube labeler. Press the white latch. And then press the black release lever to open the print head. Pull the black plastic, take up spool clip to remove it. Pull the label stock role latch spring lock open, then move the latch away from the label stock role. Remove the old label stock roll and the take up spool. Load the new labelstock role. Then close the label stock roll latch. Feed the label tape end up the right side of the labeler. Over the top and down the left side. Wrap the tape end around the take up spool in a clockwise direction. Replace the black clip so that it securely holds the tape end. Rotate the take up spool in a clockwise direction to remove any slack and assure the tape end is secure and the role can turn freely. Check to see that the label roll is straight as it feeds into the labeling area. If necessary, adjust the white plastic ring on the metal guide to position the label tape properly. Close the print head. Close the hinge secondary tube labeler. The next step is to advance the label tape using the feed button. Please note that the label tape backing is semi transparent so that an LED sensor can detect the presence of a label if the label tape is not positioned correctly. An alarm sounds. Press the feed button to advance the label tape until the alarm stops. Once the label roll has been replaced, you're ready to print a test label.
