In this video, you'll learn how key performance indicators like exams per hour, table occupancy, and preparation time help you analyze the productivity and usage of your CT scanners. Please note the data shown in this video is for demonstration purposes only and is not representative. The Productivity and Utilization page enables you to analyze and monitor the productivity and usage of Fleet link CT scanners enabled and configured in the Team Play Device Administration. The bar chart 4 Exams per hour shows the average number of CT exams done by the scanner per hour during its working hours in a day. This. KPI indicates the scanner's productivity. Considering the total working hours of each scanner helps you compare different CT scanners side by side, determining the most and least used scanner per hour. What is the total scanner working hours? Total scanner working hours is the time used to calculate key performance indicators like exams per hour, table occupancy, preparation time and idle time. It starts with the first scan and ends with the last scan of the day. The total is the sum of each day's working hours within the selected date range, calculated separately for accuracy. The bar chart for total exams with and without contrast agent shows the number of exams done by the scanner within your selected date range. How is? Productivity defined in this context. Productivity. Is the relationship between the output produced and the input used to create it. For example, Somatom Force One performed 99 exams from Monday to Sunday with a total working time of 38 hours. This means the scanner's productivity is 2.6 exams per hour. What is scanner utilization and how is it calculated? Utilization, or the degree of utilization is a percentage that compares actual use to the maximum possible use. The total scanner working hours allow the comparison of KPIs across different scanners. The scanner utilization chart shows table occupancy, preparation time and idle time compared to the total working hours of each scanner in your fleet. What is the time between exams? The time between exams is measured from the end of 1 examination to the start of the next. The median of these intervals is used to calculate the preparation time. The KPI table occupancy shows the time CT scans are performed during working hours. It is the percentage of scan duration compared to the total scanner working hours. Preparation time is when the technologist interacts with the patient or prepares the scanner in room. The percentage is the time between exams compared to the total scanner working hours. Idle time is when the device is not scanning and the technologist is not preparing the next patient. It is usually caused by no show patients or complex preparations like anesthesia for. Babies and infants if the. Preparation time calculation is unreliable. The chart will. Only show table occupancy and idle. Time. This can happen if the scanner is mainly used for on demand exams like emergency cases that are randomly distributed throughout the day and night, making it hard to identify a consistent time between exams. All performance values of your scanners are connected. And affect each other. To fully assess productivity and utilization, consider all KP is together, not just one. To evaluate exams per hour, use the number of exams with and without contrast and check against the related utilization. KP is for example, your table occupancy of 77%, preparation time of 16% and idle time of 7% look good. The selected scanner performed 450 exams in one month. Whether? 1.65 exams per hour is good. Depends on your. Institutional goal A scanner can have good utilization but poor productivity due to reasons like a shortage of technologists or more time consuming procedures like CT cardio exams. There are. Various underlying causes and reasons, Please note. You can upgrade to Team Play Utilization Management to view the productivity KPIs for all imaging scanners from all vendors and modalities. Furthermore, it provides more detailed analytics views to identify productivity gaps by location and scheduling patterns.
