Differentiate between the Samples and Test Results workspaces The Samples workspace enables the operator to manage, monitor and interact with sample information. The Test Results workspace enables the operator to repeat tests, accept results and edit active results. Perform a sample search There are a variety of simple ways to search for a sample in the ADVIA Chemistry XPT software: Select the quick search icon from the Status Bar Access the required workspace (e.g. Test Results, Samples, Orders) and utilize the Find in Page search field Review and Edit Results Most results will not require extra investigating. However, occasionally, a patient result may need to be reviewed and have additional action taken including: Rerunning Diluting Dispositioning Adding a result Adding a result comment Access Results from the Dashboard Sample state or Test state display Counters updated in real time with alert indicators Print a Chartable Report Chartable Patient Results can be printed from the Test Results workspace. Find in Page will only find data currently listed as defined by the filter (pre-defined or custom) applied to the window. Select the X in the upper-right corner of the screen to close the window and continue. Review and Edit Results Most results will not require extra investigating. Select next to continue.2 Rerun a Sample Select the SID or specific test checkbox Select the Repeat details button Select Yes to confirm the repeat   Note: Repeat options can also be accessed by selecting the specific test checkbox and selecting the Edit/View Sample detail button to access the Patient Sample Details window.   Select Next to continue.Select each number to review the corresponding text.Callouts SID Checkbox - Selects all tests Repeat display button - Rerun selected tests Confirmation - Yes OR input dilution options To Rerun a Sample select the SID checkbox or specific test checkbox, select the Repeat details button and select yes to confirm the repeat. Select next to continue.3 Run a Sample Dilution Select the test for dilution Select the Sample Edit/View... detail button Select the Repeat checkbox next to the test on the Patient Sample Details screen Select Repeat Options... detail button Select required dilution from the drop down list Note: Sample dilutions will automatically run when a result exceeds the dilution point defined at the Test - Ranges window.   Select Next to continue. To run a sample dilution, select the test for dilution from the Test Result Overview window. Select the Sample Edit View detail button and select the repeat check box next to the test on the patient sample details screen. Selecting repeat options detail button will open the options for dilutions. Select the required dilution from the drop down list. Select next to continue.4 Dispositioning Results   Test result dispositioning is available on the Test Results workspace and includes: Accept Hold Omit Note: Omit and Hold are only available on the Patient Sample Details window.   Select Next to continue. Select each number to review the corresponding text.Callouts Accept Omit Hold Test results can be accepted from the Overview screen and omitted or held on the Patient Sample Details window. Select next to continue. 5Add Results and Comments Select a sample Select the Sample Edit/View...detail button On the Patient Sample Details window, select Add Result On the Add Results sample window, perform these steps: Verify you have the correct sample In the Result text box, enter the result value Optionally, in the Comment text box, select or add a comment Select OK     When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. Manually adding results to a sample can be accomplished from the Patient Sample Details window by selecting Add Result. Optional comments may be added to results, if applicable. Chartable Reports Chartable Patient Results can be printed from the Test Results workspace.
