ACUSON Freestyle™ Probe Operation

Hi, I'm here to talk to you about the acuson Freestyle probe operation to operate the probe in wireless mode. First start with the fully charged battery, insert the battery into the probe like so. And mechanical latch and magnets ensure proper alignment when the system is first powered on. The no probe indicator will be present. Use the probe controls to turn on the probe. Probe controls consist of a slider plus and minus buttons and a power indicator. Hold your fingers over the plus and minus buttons to turn on the probe. You'll hear a beep and it will automatically connect to the system and enter life scanning mode. You can also use the pro controls to remotely control the system. This is very useful for single person operation so that you won't require an assistant to control the system. Use a slider to select the control that you'd like to change. It is now highlighting depth. The slider is equivalent to using the outer nob on the system control panel. I use the plus and minus buttons to change the value of the control, so plus will increase, minus will decrease. This is equivalent to changing the inner nob on the control panel. Certain functions are on, off or toggle functions. For example color flow. So if I select color flow, I could tap either the plus or minus buttons to turn the function on or off. That's also equivalent to turning the inner nob or pushing it when scanning is complete. You can turn off the pro by holding your fingers over the two buttons again. Or you can easily remove the battery and turn off the probe that way. For users that don't require the use of the pro controls, they can be disabled. Go to set up system. Probes. And check the enable probe keys lock function. Back to scan and you'll notice there's a padlock icon in the lower right corner of the screen. Pro controls are now disabled. To re enable the pro controls temporarily, I can alternate between the plus and minus buttons quickly. The padlock disappears and now I can change controls. After a few seconds of inactivity the padlock will reappear. As you can see here, and again, the controls are disabled. Acuson freestyle probes can also be operated in the cabled mode. This could be useful in place of any wireless operation. Cable operation is necessary for software updates, so always keep the adapter cable with the system at all times. Simply insert the cable adapter into the probe and place the battery. Now I'll show you how to connect the system side connector to the system. The cable adapter connector includes a sleeve that's textured and contains a red dot indicator. When inserting the connector into the system side port. Always align the red dot indicators when it's pushed in fully. It's connected to disconnect the cable, never pull on the cable itself. Always pull off the sleeve.
