ACUSON Freestyle™ External Antenna

Hi, my name is Kevin and I'm here to talk to you about the acuson freestyle's external antenna. The freestyle is equipped with two internal antennas located in the upper left corner of the console display. The freestyle requires a line of sight between the probes and these antennas an external antenna as you see here is also available as a purchasable option. It provides additional line of sight Path which may be useful in some situations. For example if an external monitor is used with the system, the system may be turned away from the procedure area because the display is not necessary. In that case the external antenna can be positioned tours a procedure area. Note that the console will utilize both external and internal antennas.
