Depth Gain Compensation (DGC) The 2D brightness is raised or lowered at individual zones in the field of view. DICOM Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine. Doppler Auto Stat Enables or disables the default display of measurements and graphical traces to the track mean and/or maximum velocities or frequencies. Dual and Seamless Dual Two images are displayed next to one another. Seamless Dual has no center line between the two images. DVD Digital Versatile Disk Electrocardiogram, EKG, or ECG The cardiac physiologic waveform is generated from leads applied to the skin. End-Diastole (ED) and End-Systole (ES) End-diastolic and end-systolic are a period defined by the ECG / EKG signal. ED or ES are displayed as a single frame for each period. eSieImage™ Multiparametric Optimization Used to optimize the uniformity of image brightness in the field of view using eSieImage technology. The system displays the eSieImage icon on the image screen when the feature is activated. eSieScan™ Workflow Protocol An eSieScan workflow protocol is a pre-defined checklist that guides you through a clinical workflow. The protocol consists of one or more views. A protocol view is an image or clip that can also include measurements, a body marker, and annotations. When the image or clip is saved and the measurements are performed, a view is complete. Also, the user can change the sequence of views during a protocol, pause, and resume a protocol. Additionally, create new workflow protocols or modify existing protocols, import, or export protocols using a USB storage device. Freeze Still image generated by tapping the Freeze key on the control panel. Imaging parameters Displays a list of imaging settings for the active operating mode. Live Imaging This is actively using ultrasound in real-time. Mechanical and Thermal Indices The ultrasound system incorporates an output display of mechanical and thermal indices to allow you to monitor, and to limit, the amount of ultrasound energy that is transferred to the patient. The system displays the mechanical and thermal indices during real-time imaging, in all imaging modes, when the mechanical index or the thermal indices are equal to or exceed a value of 0.1. Use the Configuration settings to select the thermal indices for display during neonatal head exams. Indices display in the abbreviated form shown below:  MI: Mechanical Index  TIB: Bone Thermal Index (fetal application)  TIS: Soft Tissue Thermal Index  TIC: Cranial Thermal Index Password Complexity The account policy can be configured by the administrator. Patient Banner Displays patient information, operator, institution, the system date, and time. Patient Browser The patient browser displays a list of patient studies in the selected storage location, for example, the local database (hard disk), a configured server, or a USB storage device. Patient Demographics Patients Name, Identification Number, Date of Birth, Age, Gender, Height, Weight, Body Surface Area (BSA), and Blood Pressure (BP mmHg). Physio Management This assigns the ECG or EKG lead type for use with the physiologic function. Roles A classification for a user account, providing access to functions or tasks on the system to multiple users. Screen Saver The screen saver feature freezes the system and replaces the active display with a screen-saver display after the system has been inactive for a specified number of minutes. Exit the active screen saver display by pressing any key, adjusting any control, or rolling the trackball. An active screen saver display also locks the screen. A locked screen requires a username and password to access the system. Note: The screen saver feature is not available when the system is in external video playback or during the Biopsy function. syngo® Arterial Health Package (AHP) This software is compatible with 2D-mode clips or images acquired with a linear transducer (requires the physio module option). This software provides a method of quantifying Carotid Intima-Media Thickness (CIMT). This software uses semi-automated border detection to determine the maximum and average thickness of the intima-medial layer of the carotid artery. System Configuration The location on the ultrasound system where the user can enter the utility menus. System status indicators Displays information about the ultrasound system, for example, the signal strength of a wireless network and the status of printing, video recording, and transferring data. Thumbnail panel Displays reference images of stored clips, images, and volumes. TIFF Tag Image File Format Trackball Identifies the functions currently assigned to the trackball and surrounding controls on the control panel. The trackball keys are named Set. Two-Dimensional Two-dimensional or 2D is used to define a non-volumetric ultrasound image. USB Universal Serial Bus Users Individuals that have access to the system through login. Worklist This includes DICOM Worklist for querying and retrieving the patient worklist schedule from the hospital or radiology information system. 1.2 System Configuration - Overview 1.3 System Configuration - General Navigation 1.4 General 1 - Menu Options 1.5 General 2 - Menu Options 1.6 Display, Custom Keys, Soft Keys, and Exam 1.7 Measurement 1.8 Text Annotation - Overview 1.9 Body Marker - Overview 1.10 Stress Echo 1.11 eSieScan™ Workflow Protocols 1.12 Contrast 1.13 Clip Store 1.14 Printer 1.15 Barcode 1.16 Wireless 1.17 Network 1.18 Utility 1.19 Archive 1.20 Security 1.21 Security Login and Logoff 1.22 Service 1.23 Course Review 1.24 Disclaimer 1.25 Completion 1.1 Welcome
