The monitor has multiple points of articulation which allow it to move up and down and 360° of rotation. Monitor settings are located on the back of the monitor (brightness, contrast, etc.). The rotary controls below the Touch Screen correspond to the soft key options. Exam management options are located on the left side of the Touch Screen. If a function control is available, it is backlit in white; if a function control is currently active, it is backlit in orange. The home base design includes text annotations, measurements, image and clip store, update, and a multi-function trackball and set controls. Major imaging modes are located above the home base. The Control Panel includes five transducer holders. Standard configuration is one long transducer holder and four short transducer holders. An additional long transducer holder may be purchased. A large gel holder is optional and may be purchased. An integrated gel warmer with adjustable temperature settings is standard. All transducer holders are configurable to any position. It also supports shear wave elastography, auto point sheer wave elastography, Ultrasound Derived Fat Fraction (UDFF), fusion, and contrast agent imaging. It has a bandwidth of 1–3.5 MHz with a center frequency of 2.2 MHz. The lower frequencies allow for increased penetration with less attenuation. The DAX also has a larger elevation plane which allows for superior slice thickness at increased depths, reducing clutter and increasing contrast resolution for deep targets of up to 55 cm. There are six frequencies, including three fundamental (Res, Mid, Pen) and three harmonic frequencies (H Low, H Mid, H High). The H High frequency selection is a blending of the second and third harmonic components.
